"Glass Walls" Music legend and activist Paul McCartney narrates.

This video brought so much stuff up for me, I had to take my thoughts to pen. We live in an iconically ironic country, the United States.

We have corporations who are allowed to have animal farms where they kill animals in the most grotesque way, then turn around and feed these animals to the masses, here and abroad.

We live in a culture where in many places, like where I live, if I decide to raise my own chickens in my yard, the borough police will pound down my door, or send the humane society against the cruelty of animals, to retrieve my chickens because it is against their rules. However, where is the humane society for animals when they are killing chickens, pigs, cows, goats, in this manner......???

Frankly, I couldn't watch the video past the first 20 seconds.. if that long.

We live in a culture that has us so divorced from our food and our food source. So much so, that little children are growing up thinking milk comes in a carton, not out of a cow's utters, and if you attempt to give them "fresh" milk, they will turn their faces in disgust.

We live in a culture that tells us that we should be disgusted by any food product that has not been packaged, processed, canned, boxed, etc... and anything else is suspect at best and unsanitary at worst. God forbid if there is any discoloration or bruises on fruits or vegetables.

We live in a throwaway world, where things, are easily thrown away, and packaged in such a way that by the time you get to the item you have thrown away at least 2-3 parts of the packaging. What does constant throwing away of things do to the human psyche? What is the hidden message this type of packaging gives to the subconscious mind? "Everything, including you, is disposable." How wasteful. The weight of the stuff we throw away, if changed to food, could probably feed a starving family in Africa for a whole year. Imagine... what does your trash day look like??? Begin there, how much are you throwing away, each week, each month, each year.

We live in a culture that; decrees germs, infections, disease, and yet, will raise the animals we eat in the most unsanitary conditions. Feed these animals all types of growth hormones, antibiotics and additives that have them grow in to life sized monsters, then feed them indiscriminately to the masses, making huge profits off the unnatural and in-humane slaughter of millions of animals. Not to mention the residual profits to Big Pharma/Monsanto/Big Banks/ all the way down to the folks who make the cages for these animals to breed in.

What is wrong with a people who accept this type of brutality to the food they eat?? What does this brutalization implant in the hearts and minds and souls of those who eat it?? Is it any wonder we have people who can join the military and exhibit the most inhumane behavior towards another? Especially when their culture tells them that it's okay to treat animals this way.. Therefore, once these young men and women in the military are fed the doctrine that the people they are killing are not human, but targets and in some instances, animals, is it any wonder that these atrocities can happen many times over?

We live in a culture so a part from nature, that when huge buildings are constructed there is little out cry for the earth underneath these massive monstrosities. All in the name of civilization???

I can only imagine that anyone from a much further advance civilization, would wonder, is this civilized the way we kill our animals, our planet, each other? Imagine the energy that you are ingesting when you eat any type of food that has been mutilated, manipulated, genetically engineered?

I am no scientist with a long string of letters behind my name. I am a sentient being with close ties to the Planet earth, and that's all I need. It makes perfectly good sense, that we are experiencing a slow death, in our mind, body and spirit. We have been manipulated to believe that what is good for us tastes bad and what is bad for us is soooo good. We do not realize the level of indoctrination and brain washing that has taken effect over our thinking and that we in turn, are passing on, generation upon generation.

It is difficult to stand up, one blade of grass against the winds of the tide of the status quo, but I am determined to stand up, to stand strong and to disconnect myself from this travesty as much as is humanly possible.

I believe that if we each take small steps, not huge drastic steps, but small baby steps, within our grasp, within our reach, within our realm, we can make a change.

We can kick this meglamaniac Big Business/Pharma/Military complex, by saying no, if only in a whisper, but say no!!! Then take self sustaining steps towards feeding, clothing and sheltering ourselves, independently. Don't get caught up in the global warming, green craze, because it still requires dependence on something outside of us. This thing outside of us will always control us. It will replicate the same system, the same plan with a different face.

After viewing this video, how can anyone eat meat they purchased in a store without thoroughly examining how the animal was raised and slaughtered?? How can anyone ever go to fast food restaurant and order fries with it??

I find it incredibly amazing that the football player Michael Vick was so denigrated for what he did with dogs, yet, those same people are virtually quiet when it comes to the slaughtering of animals that feed the American people and others around the world. There is something terribly wrong and imbalanced with this picture. Small wonder there is so much confusion in the world.

The irony to top all ironies for me is, at the end of a movie, where all types of destruction to people, property and sometimes animals, is followed by a disclaimer.... "No harm has come to any of the animals in the production of this film............." Huh??? Why isn't there one to say the same about human beings????  Why isn't there one to say that the destruction was all staged and didn't really happen.

Why do I belly-ached about this??? Because, I watched my elder grandmother who is from Ghana, watch some things on TV and she actually believed we could get in contact with the people on the screen. She actualy, believed that the lady in the movie, was really being hurt. Yes, she was from the bush.... but so are we, she is from the earth and so are we, and while we may have to tell ourselves over and over, it's only a movie, we are impacted by what is put on the screen before us.

Small wonder, there is so much confusion in the world, small wonder.

At some point, we each have to take the spoon out of our mouths, at some point we each have to unplug from the Matrix. Little by little, step by step... Or it's over!!! And those of us, who are most dependent on the Matrix, will feel the pinch the most.

UNPLUG!!!!

SUGGESTION: SMALL STEP OF MANY

To the Indigenous People of Turtle Island

Today I am Contemplating the true meaning of "Thanksgiving" and I must say, that it makes me sad. Today, I ask the ancient ancestors of this Turtle Island to forgive us. We walk upon this land and barely remember why we are here or even how we got here.
Too often the Holocaust of the Indigenous people is forgotten. Imagine, in removing them to reservations and taking their land, we have build many edifices over their graves. I say we, because as an African descendant, I too, partake of this travesty. So, while I am a product of the African Holocaust, I sometimes get so wrapped up in what happened to my Ancestors, I am distracted from what happened to the Ancestors of those who are here now. Living on reservations in a subhuman reality.

I am inclined to explore the true meaning of this day. I am inclined to wonder how the true original people feel on this day. I am inclined to wonder what it must feel like for them to see the revelry and disconnect that happens when people here, celebrate on the backs of those who were masqueraded.

Can it be an indictment on man's ability to be inhumane to other men?
This culture will go to bat for the saving of the environment, endangered species, the mountains, hills and streams they call America, and yet, how often do they include the most horrendous crime, the annihilation of a people who lived here before the European came.

No longer can we claim it is the lack of knowledge that keeps us ingrained in old behaviors and old traditions. The world is a market place of information. There is no excuse that can convey any substantial belief that this holiday is anything but a mockery. Giving thanks should be a daily ritual, and if a day must be chosen, why not make it more authentic, by choosing a day that does not ignore the hurt, pain and destitution of the first inhabitants of Turtle Island. Giving in to the status quo of it is a "holiday" so let's party and eat until we burst shows the gluttonous adventure this holiday has become.

Why we may not see them in the flesh, the Ancestors of Turtle Island are watching our clear and poignant refusal to admit what really happened here. These Ancestors have surely bore the brunt of incessant annihilation with the uprooting of their sacred burial grounds; the destruction of their sacred forest, rivers and streams, the killing off of their food supply and the sickening of their family members with all manner of disease and modern day corruption; as the strangling members left of these tribes; are sucked into the marketplace of casinos and casino revenue that barely if at all enhances or uplift the quality of life of the ordinary indigenous person.

This is my tribute. This is my reparations. This is my mourning. I beg forgiveness for any thought, word, action or deed that may have insulted the Ancestors of the Indigenous People of Turtle Island. If I have done so in ignorance, I ask that you allow me to have my eyes opened to see the truth. I feel you have helped me already, as I researched articles on the internet and information about your story. This is my contribution, a humble gift of my time, and a simple example of the contrition I propose to give, in spirit, in light and in love.

THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF THE EVOLVED BEING

WHEN THE ANCIENTS TRAVELED DEEP INTO THE COSMIC POOL OR WOMB OF THE UNIVERSE THEY DISCOVERED MANY THINGS, ONE OF THEM BEING................

The chambers of the soul are etched with the memory of the past, present and future. Through journeying within, the mysteries of these times can be unlocked. The attempt to create in life is etched as well as the need for the knowledge of that which is beyond this reality. A picture is painted and a design is drawn.

Each soul dreams as it germinates in the cosmic womb. It dreams of the many destinies and journeys that it must travel. It becomes imprinted with the lessons it must learn and it is forecast how each lesson will be revealed. The Cosmic Pool then nurtures and generates a specific intelligence marking each soul with its own personality. Each soul then chooses from its wealth of options the particular course it wishes to take and in what order. Lifetime after lifetime is recorded on the soul and at each incarnate rebirth this record is revealed.

Dangerous though it may seem to remember each and every course for the soul, the mind sorts and shifts, selecting what it needs and storing what it doesn't need. The mind and the soul form a partnership. An eternal bond of understanding. This understanding fosters the direct function of the being and generates and influences the action the being takes.

However, as in all life there are times when disharmony can disrupt or challenge this bond. The mind which represents the intelligent and the pictorial often wishes to bring from the soul to the outer vision hidden, facts, resources and identification. These challenges may send the soul into rebellion as it may wish to resist certain revelations. These revelations may determine the extent of the evolution of the being's course each lifetime.
Through dreams, the mind may uncover hidden resources or hidden territory that the soul wishes to protect. Through conscious awareness these courses are revealed and then consciousness can make a determination. The soul may feel uncertain about the readiness of a particular being. The soul may question and doubt the mind's ability to sort, define and integrate harmoniously the hidden knowledge of the soul. The mind may challenge the soul's authority to hide or reveal what the mind wishes to explore. The mind may rationalize or fantasize the need to have this information. In this case the soul and mind are acting out of disharmony. This creates inner chaos and demonstrates itself as outer confusion.

The mind and soul have a purposeful function. Working as a harmonious unit they create the continuous evolution of the personality. Working in disharmony they create inevitable chaos.
The mind sorts, separates, defines and integrates the knowledge hidden in the soul. The mind is significantly affected by the physical world of the vehicle in which it is housed. The mind formulates prejudice and preference while the soul is conscious of the oneness of all things. The mind wishes to dominate and control the information the soul presents in order to have mastery over its environment.

It is through impressions, feelings, sensations, dreams and non-tangibles that the soul reveals its inner knowledge. Once this inner knowledge is revealed the mind will take it into conscious awareness. If there is an aura of receptivity in this awareness which is affected by the outer environment, the soul's treasures are integrated into the being. If not, these treasures are discarded or pushed into the soul’s storehouse. If it is necessary for the evolution of the personality to integrate this knowledge into the being, the soul will erupt and plague the mind with nightmares, fears, frustration, splitting, uncertainties and confused thinking.

The mind must explore the gems that the soul stores and keeps as treasures. The mind must define, sort and integrate these gems into the being. The mind must, as the Executive of these gems, carry forth on its responsibility to help the being evolve. If the mind refuses the being is retarded in it incarnate growth and must fight to achieve this status again.

Caution! If the mind attempts in its enthusiasm, to uncover that which has not grown to the level of being revealed or that is that which has not reached maturity in the soul it will foster even more confused discord and create more unsettling danger for the stability of the mind and its processes.
There is a delicate balance between these two entities that must be maintained. Through life after life this balance is challenged until ultimately the mind and soul merge into one functioning organism where there is no separation between them. Here the mind and the soul know complete oneness and are elevated as a unit to the realm of conscious wholeness. This wholeness is demonstrated in the evolved being who walks and works in peace and in time with the Cosmic Rhythm of the Universe. The evolved Being, after its many lifetimes is lifted to the realm of the Exalted and Cherished and is then given the charge of Guide to the other lesser evolved beings.

In reality, as you know it, this challenge to balance mind and spirit may leave the being exuberant or exhausted. The spirit continues on as if guided by some unknown force, and yet with deeper penetration into this phenomenon it is revealed that the unknown force is the essential being's attempt to become its whole self.
Wholeness is the Cosmic Destiny of all evolved life forms. Without it there is no harmony. Wholeness ratifies the discord and incorporates all into the Oneness of the Universe. With resistance or polarization of the mind and soul, activity and consequence is etched into the incarnate destiny of the being's course. This destiny though previously revealed is governed by Universal Omniscient Law. Thus there is no uncharted course or journey for the being to travel. It is simply the charge of the being to follow its course in Harmony with the Cosmic Rhythm of the Universe in order to incur the utmost support of the force that surrounds and controls it.
In deep meditation and penetration the being can uncover, through the manipulation of mind and spiritual interaction, the course it is destined to follow thereby becoming consciously aware of the integral choices it can make in order to remain in Harmony with the course of its destiny. The being thereby becomes the Master of its own fate and can live each lifetime to its intended fullness. A full being may appear magical as it expresses itself in its physical environment. This magic is only the manifestation of its conscious awareness and its receptive submission to following its most Redeemed Life Course. Thus it lives in an Exalted State as a Sage and exemplifies the Ultimate Goal of The Evolved Being which is true union between the soul and mind.

I’ve Learned

  • I've learned -that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
  • I've learned - that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
  • I've learned - that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
  • I've learned - that it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts.
  • I've learned - that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something.
  • I've learned - that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do.
  • I've learned - it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it.
  • I've learned - that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
  • I've learned - that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.
  • I've learned - that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
  • I've learned - that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.
  • I've learned - that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
  • I've learned - that you can keep going long after you think you can't.
  • I've learned - that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
  • I've learned - that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
  • I've learned - that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
  • I've learned - that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
  • I've learned - that learning to forgive takes practice.
  • I've learned - that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.
  • I've learned - that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
  • I've learned - that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
  • I've learned - that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
  • I've learned - that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
  • I've learned - that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
  • I've learned - that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
  • I've learned - that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
  • I've learned -that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
  • I've learned - that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
  • I've learned - that no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.
  • I've learned - that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
